Chosen Realm

I am in this realm that I have chosen which I create in at this moment
Relativity is the thing that keeps it alive and weaves the tension
Without it I’d be in that limited place of concept
Here is the place to experience, expanding in it and with it at the same time
And know what Love is

I know why I need to know cold, enabling the experience of hot
I know why I am able to hurt and thus able to know to heal
And make a choice
Without left I could only turn right, and the circle would be dizzying
If never I went down I would grow weary from the constant climb

Endless light would have no meaning if never I saw the darkness
And thus I can bask in its joy and giving and accept it all without judgment
For it is a gift which I left for myself before I came back to try again
And this time I see more than the last and I am hopeful and saddened
And I make a choice

Fulfilled to know that I can and there is no right one
Only the choice and who I want to be
What I am allowed is freedom, and I am thrilled and frightened
Choice…Freedom
What ultimate power I possess!

I want to write something in my blog each day but sometimes I just don't get to it, so I will post some things from the past from time to time. This is one of them. By the way, please leave comments, I do want your feedback. Thanks!

Funny how you can explore an issue at a certain point in your life and later go back and revisit it, and it can still be so poignant.

I love the line" For it is a gift which I left for myself before I came back to try again."

Reminds me of a poem I once wrote:

Life' s Contradictions
By Craig Lambert

In acknowledging insecurity we find security

In acknowledging our own vulnerability we become invulnerable

In recognizing our weaknesses we come to know our strengths

In acknowledging our sadness we discover our compassion

When we let go of grasping we can truly receive

In our confusion we discover clarity

And when we recognize the suffering in ourselves, then we can empathize with the suffering of others.
